Today I broke ground on our very first in ground garden. Up until this point we have used containers to some what successfully grow a few veggies in our rather shady backyard. This year thanks to a little inspiration from Roots and Refuge on YT I am committing to just getting my hands dirty and really using this season to grow my knowledge. Whether we are actually able to yield a great harvest off our shady property is still a mystery but Ive always been a firm believer in if theres a will theres way. So far Ive cleared about 2/3 of the small garden located in the front side yard. I will be clearing out the rest tomorrow and hopefully getting my first crop going as soon as the weather allows. If anyone has any suggestions or advice on how to grow effectively in shady climates it would be greatly appreciated!
